Potters Bar derailment inquiry

Passenger Focus, the independent passenger watchdog, will be attending the Potters Bar accident inquest on behalf of Great Britain’s rail passengers.

John Cartledge, Passenger Focus’s safety advisor, will be representing Passenger Focus throughout the hearing. The hearing is examining the circumstances surrounding the deaths of those involved in the Potters Bar derailment on 10 May 2002.

Ashwin Kumar, Passenger Focus rail director, said: “Passengers’ safety is of paramount importance. It is crucial that the events leading up to and during this devastating incident are examined and lessons learned.”
